Cataday

During our current COVID-19 reality, turning to our cats and dogs for sanity and relief from the dismal offers a real bright spot. In the spirit of this, I’ll be sharing my kitty pictures. Anything that brings a smile to our faces right now is worth doing.

Introducing Lucca and Marius

They’re my boys. Lucca, the tiger-striped tabby sitting behind the typewriter is the shy guy, the one who hides when guests come for a visit. And Mr. Marius, front and center in the window, well, he’s the ALPHA. When people visit (okay, during normal non-virus times), Marius knows that they have come to see HIM. Of course they have. I mean, why else would anyone come to visit?

The living room window plays a major role in their lives. Right now, they’re watching one of my neighbors doing some kind of gyrating fitness dance on her balcony. I’m not sure they’ve ever seen anything quite like it — had the boys highly entertained for almost five minutes. Maybe it will become a daily Moulin Rouge performance!!? I’d post a picture of said neighbor, but I think you’ll just have to take our word for it. In the pre COVID-19 days, this never happened.

Hhmm. I’ll bet Amazon sells can-can costumes. I might have to leave one outside of her door.

Yeah. The cats think plague times are good. Mom is home ALL THE TIME. And the neighbor is dancing on the balcony!

That’s all for today from my Houston bunker. Um, condo.

Hi Ann, I thought they could might be avoiding spot of writer’s block. Beautiful cats. Mr.Marius has his eyes glued to the woman on the balcony. Louise

You know, I think they’ve had writer’s block recently 🙂 . I haven’t seen either of them typing, either on the computer or the rusty Underwood.

And yes, Marius was impressed with the woman on the balcony . . .
